Today is November 3, 2023, and here are the key policymaker and stakeholder actions on AI you need to know: In Washington, the Department of Defense released its strategy to “accelerate the adoption” of AI for the battlefield. A bill introduced in the New York State Senate would regulate the use of AI tools used to screen housing applicants. Across the pond, U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced an agreement between leading AI companies and several governments to allow testing of AI models before their release, as well as an agreement to launch an international advisory panel for AI risks.
