Today is November 20, 2024, and here are the key policymaker and stakeholder actions on AI you need to know: In Washington, a report from the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission recommended Congress fund a “Manhattan Project-like program” to achieve artificial general intelligence before China. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, the U.S. government is hosting a technical working meeting for representatives from the AI Safety Institutes of several allied countries.
