Today is May 30, 2025, and here are the key policymaker and stakeholder actions on AI you need to know: In Washington, the Trump Administration plans to rename the AI Safety Institute the Center for AI Safety and Leadership. Meanwhile, The New York Times announced a licensing agreement with Amazon that will allow Amazon to train its AI models on the publication’s news articles. Lastly, the vice president of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation warned “fragmented AI laws will slow federal IT modernization in the U.S.”
