Today is March 5, 2025, and here are the key policymaker and stakeholder actions on AI you need to know: Scale AI announced a “multimillion-dollar deal” with the Department of Defense to provide AI agents that will help defense officials with planning and operations. Across the pond, antitrust regulators in the U.K. ended their review of OpenAI and Microsoft’s partnership, determining the relationship does not qualify for further investigation. Chinese officials suggested their country would develop a system of open-source models as AI remains central to their economic growth efforts.
