Today is March 24, 2025, and here are the key policymaker and stakeholder actions on AI you need to know: In Washington, U.S. Senator Jon Husted (R-OH) announced a bill that would use AI to help target “redundant and outdated rules” in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. Across the pond, companies and lawmakers are reconsidering their reliance on American cloud providers over “uncertainties around privacy and data access fears under the Trump administration.” Think tank fellow Adam Thierer warned that many AI proposals at the state level could “derail America’s AI revolution,” urging Congress to pass legislation that would preempt certain state AI laws.
