In New York, a newly proposed bill would restrict state agencies from using any AI system “to make decisions that affect individuals' rights, benefits, or services.” Lastly, Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan and more than 140 of the organization’s affiliated startup founders sent a letter to California State Sen. Scott Wiener expressing their disapproval of his bill to regulate frontier AI models.
