Meanwhile, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo reported that advanced chipmakers have requested $70 billion in grant money under the CHIPS Act, though the law only allots $28 billion for subsidies to these leading-edge chip producers. In Oregon, the state legislature’s upper chamber passed legislation that would regulate the use of AI in political advertising.
