Today is August 8, 2024, and here are the key policymaker and stakeholder actions on AI you need to know: In Washington, DC, Federal Communications Commission commissioners unanimously agreed to consider a proposed rule that would regulate robocalls and robotexts that use AI. Meanwhile, Federal Election Commission Chair Sean Cooksey stated his agency would not propose regulations to address the use of AI in elections this year. U.S. Rep.
